I think that if i was faced with this problem i would first try and educate the population of the situation. I think it always helps if at least the majority of people know there is a problem that should be fixed. In some areas of the world childeren are used to do jobs such as farming. Because of this people want big familys so that they have more workers to either help them get money or to just get enough food to feed themselves. I think that if the areas that work this wayhad a different way of living, where they didnt depend of children to carry out such jobs then familys wouldnt feel the need to have as many kids. Places such as China have passed laws that only allow families to have one child. Im not sure I would go as far as that, but i would deffenently try and slow down the population growth as fast as possible.
As for me my life hasent changed a whole lot. It is getting closer and closer to the end of school and im really ready for it. I can tell that i am starting to put work of more and more. I cant wait until summer when i get to sleep in!! i also have a bunch of cool vacations planed for this summer which I can't wait to go on!

Darfur
I think that the Sudanese government is who is mainly to blame. They are the ones that are supporting the Janjaweed. They say that they claim they are not but it isant true. They will not let troops come in and help. They say they are protecting themselves agains the rebel groups, but they are ethnic cleansing. They are supplying weaponss. They are also supplying money.
It is Easter tommorow!!! Today I went to my friends baptism into my church. It was really exciting. She was baptized in the fountain outside. She stood in the fountain with the priest. He poured water over her head. She said it was really cold! Tomorrow is easter and it is going to be a lot of fun! My family is in town and we are going to spend the day together. I also get to see my cousin who doesn't live in Austin any more.
