Population!!

I think that if i was faced with this problem i would first try and educate the population of the situation. I think it always helps if at least the majority of people know there is a problem that should be fixed. In some areas of the world childeren are used to do jobs such as farming. Because of this people want big familys so that they have more workers to either help them get money or to just get enough food to feed themselves. I think that if the areas that work this wayhad a different way of living, where they didnt depend of children to carry out such jobs then familys wouldnt feel the need to have as many kids. Places such as China have passed laws that only allow families to have one child. Im not sure I would go as far as that, but i would deffenently try and slow down the population growth as fast as possible.
As for me my life hasent changed a whole lot. It is getting closer and closer to the end of school and im really ready for it. I can tell that i am starting to put work of more and more. I cant wait until summer when i get to sleep in!! i also have a bunch of cool vacations planed for this summer which I can't wait to go on!

Darfur

I think that the Sudanese government is who is mainly to blame. They are the ones that are supporting the Janjaweed. They say that they claim they are not but it isant true. They will not let troops come in and help. They say they are protecting themselves agains the rebel groups, but they are ethnic cleansing. They are supplying weaponss. They are also supplying money.
It is Easter tommorow!!! Today I went to my friends baptism into my church. It was really exciting. She was baptized in the fountain outside. She stood in the fountain with the priest. He poured water over her head. She said it was really cold! Tomorrow is easter and it is going to be a lot of fun! My family is in town and we are going to spend the day together. I also get to see my cousin who doesn't live in Austin any more.

MUSIC!!

I'm not sure i really have a favorite type of music. I am okay with listening to pretty much any type of music. It doesn't really matter whether it is fast or slow, quite or loud, disney, rock, or country. The only type of music that i dont really like to listen to is Opera. When it comes to classical music, its okay but i dont listen to it often. I hope that i can go to Austin City Limits or ACL next year. I'm not sure if i will be able to but it sounds like a lot of fun! Me and my friend are going to go to a Jonas Brothers consert this summer. We are going August 13, right after my birthday.
This week I have a school swim meet, even though it is off season. I am so excited. It isan't going to be a very competitive meet its more of a fund raiser. Before hand we raised money for cancer. Anderson did this buy selling tickets for car washes for ten dollars. At a normal meet none of the races are less then a 100, except for the 50 free. In the meet coming up we are only swimming 50's and some the relays are co-ed. One of the relays is called the t-shirt relay. Everyone has to swim wearing a big t-shirt. It should be fun!!

About Me

My hobbies mainly consist of swimming and hanging out with friends. In the beginning of the year i swim every morning and sometimes after school. When Anderson swimming season ends I just swim after school with my club team, COTA. We swim up at the greathills pool. My favorite swim team though is the summer league team Westover Wild Orcas. It is not very competitve and is just time for every one to hang out with thier friends and swim! I can't wait until the beginning of summer when summer league starts.
As you can tell this takes up a lot of my time. however i still have plenty of time for friends and can't wait until summer when we can hang out all the time! Im going on many trips this summer with friends. For spring break my friend Hannah and I are flying to DC to visit my two sisters. One goes to school up their and the other is out of college but lives in DC in a apartment. She lives with one of her friends from high school.

Romeo and Juliet

I think that it is better to fall in love, but i dont think it is the worst thing to have to learn to love because i have heard stories of it working out. Some people said that even if you barley know the person after spending time together and helping each other through hard times you can learn to love them. I think the ideal way though is to fall in love. Thats what everyone looks for first i think. Basically i think it can work out either way but if i had to make my pick i would want to fall in love.
These past to weeks not a whole lot has happened. I have continued to swim with my after school team. Nothing to exciting has happened with me during school. Last weekend i went up to Galviston, where my aunt lives, because they have a mini mardi gras of thier own. i brought a few of my friends with me. It was fun but the weather was not so good. It rained alot which made it hard to be out sie. Last night i got together with some people to wath the Oscars.

Global Warming

Global Warming has been on everyones minds. Many different organizations are trying to get people together to fix the problem. Schools have become big on advertizing recycling. Groups get together and clean up any areas around there comunity that they can. The biggest action I would say that is being made would be just informing people of the problem so that they can start living a more enviromentally safe life. Every family on my street and all of my friends recycle. I remember when it wasnt uncommon for a family to not recycle, but it has been a long time since i have seen or heard of that. There also cars being made that will not use gas to help the enviroment.

My last to weeks have not been all that exciting. Last weekend was the Districs swimming meet for Anderson. I didnt have a great meet, but alot of the team did. The girls got second out of the districs. West lake got first. The boys got either sixth or seventh. Alot of are team is going to Regionals this year which is exciting. Hopefully there will be more than one person that gets to go to State! All of the relays on the team made it to Regionals too. Now swimming is slowing down so i dont have to go to practice in the morning!

Technology

Technology is in everyones everyday life. In school we use computers, sometimes people bring there own laptops. Now we even can occationaly use our ipods. There are alot of different types of ipods now. There is the original, nano, video, and the itouch. For entertainment there are many games. There is the Wii, playstation, xbox, and even just the new telivisions they have now. When it comes to something as greatly used as fire or electricity, things that were invented more recently would be cellphones and computers. Almost everyone owns a cellphone and a computer and use them all the time.
These past few weeks have been a little crazy. Over winter break we went to Houston to visit my grandparents. That was alot of fun and it was nice to relax, but not for long. School started up again and it is hard to get back into the flow of things. I had to get used to doing homework again. I also had to start going to swim practice again. I go in the morning before school with the Anderson swim team and in the afternoon with COTA, a clu swim team.
